Faan graduated with 3 degrees at North West University (Pukke) and a degree at Stellenbosch University during 2001-2010. With the completion of his degrees, Faan is now a qualified Physiotherapist, Biokineticist and Strength and Conditioning trainer.
His love to work with people and helping them to perform better in their everyday living has led to his keen interest in Musculo-skeletal and Sports injuries, Injury prevention, General & Corporate Wellness, Conditioning and Rehabilitation.
He was recently still a semi-professional cricket player where he represented North West and Boland at the provincial level. During 2006 he also made the SA Country Districts Cricket team. Currently, he is involved at Maties cricket and Brackenfell rugby as their Physiotherapist and Trainer.
